Maximising Your Qualitative Research Skills and Results
Course trainer: Chris Murphy
Demonstrates this vital form of enquiry needed to make sense of
qualitative data. Explores schemes for planning research projects,
techniques for documentary evidence, obtaining information, then forming a
roadmap for taking initial results further.
Tues 18 Sept
Read fast, write fast. Summarising and abstracting skills for business
and research professionals
Course leader: Tim Buckley-Owen
Whether you are running a current awareness service, presenting answers to
enquiries, carrying out extended desk research, preparing briefings or
writing reports, the ability to understand documents quickly and summarise
them accurately is an essential skill. This course reassures participants
that abstracting is also a learnable skill, and demonstrates how we can
hone our existing reading and writing skills to produce effective
abstracts quickly.
