The National Preservation Office updated guidance for the Preservation Assessment Survey
The NPO's Preservation Assessment Survey tool (PAS) has been used by over 200 libraries and archives in the UK and Ireland since its launch in 2001. Many participants have successfully used the outcomes to support funding bids and to inform internal planning and budgeting for preservation. More information can be found on our website at http://www.bl.uk/services/npo/paslib.html .
We have recently expanded and clarified our user guidance, building on experience and incorporating feedback from users. The new guidance can be requested free of charge from [log in to unmask] . The full survey service, including licensed database and full reports, is priced at £500 + VAT. We hold practical workshops on using the tool, usually at the British Library in London. Individual workshops can be arranged in your own library or archive for a minimum of 5 participants. Please contact the NPO to discuss charges for individual workshops.
