International Master in Digital Library Learning (DILL)
Call for Internship available institutions
The DILL, International Master in Digital Library Learning, is jointly
organised by the Universities of Oslo, Tallinn and Parma, and is seeking
cultural heritage institutions or private partners to collaborate in
applying for an Internship from December 2008 to February 2009. During
the Internship students are expected to apply the knowledge gained from
the DILL curriculum – especially in the modules “Access to Digital
libraries” and “Users and uses of digital libraries” (see attachments) -
to carry out projects in the LIS sciences in partnership with private or
public sector organisations. Further details about their expected

All institutions or organisations that have developed or are developing
digital library services and projects are invited to consider this call
as an opportunity to share their expertise and state-of-the-art know-how
with the teachers and students of the DILL Master.
Proposals should include the following information:
1. Evidence of the department’s eligibility for DILL Master Internship.
Please refer to the DILL Website, quoting the full name of the academic
institution, the department, the project, full address, website, and
name of the people who will be the student’s tutors during the Internship.
2. An indication of why a partnership with Your Organisation would be
beneficial for either the DILL Master students and/or your department,
and what expertise/resources would be offered by your
institution/department. Applicants will also need to demonstrate
commitment to regular reporting of progress to the DILL teachers.
3. An outline of the line of activity proposed for the internship.
Sections 1-3 should be (electronic or hard copy). no longer than 3 pages

Applicants will be notified after the proposals are discussed by the
DILL Master Teachers Meeting next September.. For further information
