Threatening to take money away if I do not play ball will not make me
change on this one Fay. I very much think that I will pack in being a
principal. Already with a nil pay rise this year I am not doing very
well ( I was never one on megabucks anyway). This governement is
corrupt how it reneges on deals - new contract (i.e. taking strides
now to claw back the money), and now OOH will be worse than ever
before. Re the latter, prior to the new contract, OOH we were
responsible for the emergency stuff only, now they are also talking
about adding routine stuff to this.
I work in a small practice with 2 other partners - 5K patients and we
work part-time splitting this between us. Money is not brilliant, but
work/life balance is ideal. We would not be able to cover the extra
hours, and I ceratinly would not wnat to. With GPs surely it is time
to make a stand on this one? What are your views Fay?
Best wishes
