I'm still here, but not there.
_British_ Columbia has to count as UK though :)
Paddy is here too, I think - an Irishman in Alberta?
I don't think GP-UK is dying. Perhaps just in a quieter phase.
Dunno about dnuk. Never been there. Don't feel any desire too. If it is
web based then I know I would hate it anyway.
Shame Hotch isn't about these parts any more.
The Major is quieter than he used to be - but hopefully a sign that he is
busy and happy.
Midge continues the march - and that is a very good thing.
Dekkers contributes loads.
Is Trim's in these parts still?
Just some 'old' names - lots of regular contributors too, who I enjoy. So
let's not kill off GP-UK by rumours of its death.
BC Update - all well here, just been to the Wilderness Medical Society
Conference in Snowmass Colorado - it will be there again next year (I
think) - a great spot to goto for some fun education and a great experience
- I recommend it, even to non-wilderness types.
Work is work but fine. The open-source electronic medical record thing is
growing here so I am busy with that.
I will be in the UK in Oct for the BASICS conference - some fool thinks I
might have something useful to say in a presentation. Looking forward to
seeing Blighty again. Then Scotland for the International Congress of the
Wilderness Medical Society and International Mountain Medicine Society
conference (Aviemore - likely to be a lot of fun too if anyone fancies the
jaunt).
Lastly - I have finally got around to installing VirtualBox - last night I
was running Ubuntu Linux on Rebecca's laptop - and running VirtualBox on
that which allowed me to install Windoze XP onto a virtual machine on that
linux computer. It all networked fine and I installed Quicken on it. Now,
with a single keystroke, I can switch between Ubuntu Linux and Windows -
running simultaneously. Which is the coolest thing I have done in computing
for a long time. (Oh, and virtualbox is free, of course).
Cheers all :)
