It's a terrible thing to say I suppose but!
There is a big difference between working in Canada and working in the
NHS--or at least the bits of both I have worked in.
I have been trying to make some sense of it all, following my recent
short working trip to PEI.
Less bureaucracy, is one difference.
Virtually no time spent cranking out reports and numbers and turgid
documents for the management tiers.
Less worry about complaints and litigation.
Above all, a sense of being a real doctor again and that was the most
uplifting thing about my recent visit.
Sad, really.
