The Slade.
I know from research of my own some time ago that a previous librarian
at the Slade made considerable research in to this, and I would suggest
that you contact the current head of the library.
Osmond Caine, now deceased, was an avid tutor of life drawing at
Kingston . He had a considerable record of his teaching and you may be
able to source this via his family his family through June Sampson of
the Surrey Comet
Good luck

Subject: Historical life drawing studios
I'm trying to do a bit of research on the history of
life drawing and am interested in places/ studios
where it would have been practised and/or taught,
especially ones which are still operational. The most
obvious example would be the Royal Academy Schools in
London.
Could anyone recommend others of historical interest
especially in Europe or North America? And does anyone
have experience of working in them?
Thanks
Alan McGowan
