Pain is "interesting" in the sence of the old Chinese curse "may you live in
interesting times"
It does tend to screw up the social model somewhat.
However neuropsychology is really complex.
Is pain an impairment, not really. It is unpleasant, but inevitable and has a
function, if it were to be eliminated entirely then greater "impairment" might
result as in the case of diabetic neuropathies for instance. That being said, I
certainly do not welcome "sister pain" being as she comes to me
synaesthetically.
