......"Disabled people from other regions, including Yorkshire, were also
affected. Colin Revell, a disability activist from Beverley, who had just
moved into private rented accommodation after two years of homelessness, has
had to move into a hotel. He, like Ms Marshall, has no idea when – or indeed
whether – he will be able to move back home."....

*** A footnote this article is that I have now been imformed by my landlord
that he is not going to take me back as a disabled tenant and thw Lanlord's
agent is sending me a 2 months 'notice-to-quit' the bungalow which is being
sent to my Social Worker at East Riding Of Yorkshire Council.
As some of you know I was 'homeless' for 2 and half years and only been in
the bungalow for 3 months when the floods hit Beverley and the landlord goes
and treats me like this.
The landlord and his agent have informed my Social Worker and Advocate that
he'll not have me back due the ERYC Social Services and Local ERYPCT and
other local NHS Trusts not being able to support me and meet all my
assessed-needs in the 'bugalow' as an Autistic/NeuroDiverse disabled person.
All these needs have been assesssed are within my 'careplan' (2005) to
enable me to have independent living but continue not to be implemetented
after all these years.
The 'hotel' I am living in does not meet my assessed needs, especially my
'housing-assessment' report, carried out by two leading experts in the
ASC's/NeuroDiversity field which the above mentioned public bodies who
'jointly' commissioned this and other reports then don't implement them in
my case and living in this hotel, or any other, or B&B's/Guest houses are
totally unsuitable for me and is causing me great stress and is making me
feel very unwell. I am not sleeping at all.
What do I do now?
Yours
Colin Revell
