I am sending this to advise that the North West Sound Archives, located
at Clitheroe Castle is now closed down for what may be 2 to 3 weeks while
the service moves to temporary accommodation for the duration of major
building work affecting Clitheroe Museum and the Sound Archive, part
funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund, takes place. Members of the public
seeking to contact the Sound Archive over the next few weeks are advised
that there may be a delay in their enquiry being dealt with, and it is
also recommended that contact is made by email to [log in to unmask]
or by letter to the old address – North West Sound Archive, Old Steward’s
House, Clitheroe Castle, Clitheroe BB7 1AZ
A further message will be sent out when the Sound Archive has been able to
resume its activities in its temporary location, which will be in
Clitheroe and the new address will be provided. The telephone number
should be unchanged as 01200 427897.
Can you please ensure that all staff likely to be asked for advice about
this by the public are informed of the situation.
