Greetings,
Great work on fsl4.0, I'm in the process of running a feeds benchmark
on a intel, 4 core, sge ready xserve.
Just to chime in on the aqua-izing of the mac version of fsl. Though
it may be visually appeasing, it is very limiting. Especially in a
collaborative environment where multiple researchers are using a
single workstation or cluster for their analysis.
Since this is done over a network, every functionality that is aqua-
ized is lost. Most of my users have ceased using Fslview since it's
become aqua, Featwatcher is now lost.
Though both of these are ultimately expendable as they are not part
of fsl's core, if any of the core app were moved to aqua it would
deliver quite a blow to OSX as a viable hosting platform for FSL
analysis in a collaborative lab.
I realize the cli functionality would remain, but most of my
researchers find that level of interaction with fsl daunting and
prefer gui interaction of some sort.
In the end, I think sticking with X11 may not be the most visually
appeasing option. However, it is definitely the most versatile.
