Non-Clinical Senior Lecturer in Medical Statistics with a special interest in Clinical Trials
The Institute of Psychiatry, a school of King's College London, has an outstanding international reputation in the field of research and was awarded the highest 5* rating at the most recent RAE.
We would like to invite applications for the post of Senior Lecturer (non-clinical) in Medical Statistics with a special interest in clinical trials at the Institute of Psychiatry. The post holder will provide academic leadership and expertise to support the activities of the Clinical Trials Unit and assist the Head of the Division of Psychological Medicine and Psychiatry.
The Clinical Trials Unit (CTU) is a joint development of the Institute of Psychiatry, the South London and Maudsley NHS Trust and King's College Hospital NHS Trust committed to becoming a centre of excellence in mental health and neuroscience for clinical trials, meta-analyses and related methodological research. Current staffing includes 1 clinical trial unit manager, 2 junior statisticians, 1 statistician MRC research fellow, 1 database programmer, 1 data manager and a departmental administrator.
The successful candidate should have experience in medical statistics, epidemiology, or a related discipline with an independent international publication record and the ability to supervise and direct research. Applicants should have experience in design and analysis of multi-centre clinical trials.
The salary will be Senior Lecturer Scale range £42,567 pa to £47,940pa inclusive of £2,323 London Allowance, depending on qualifications and experience.
