---------------

I am looking for a similar list for 1946...the book that Kay mentioned
sounds excellent - but Amazon so far has failed to find it.

Any ideas where it can be obtained?

Cheers!

We have a book here in the Museum of Liverpool's departmental
library which should be useful if you can get a copy 'The What It Cost
the Day Before Yesterday Book from 1850 to the Present Day', Dr Harold
Priestly. Let me know if I can help further

Does anyone know where a teacher could find out retail prices of
goods in the late 1930s (just prior to the outbreak of war)? They're
looking at brands which still exist, eg Oxo, Bovril, Golden Syrup, Camp
Coffee, Marmite, Cherry Blossom shoe polish, Nuttall's Mintoes etc.

We thought this would be an easy query to answer but so far have
drawn a complete blank!

	Many thanks
