Dear colleagues
A number of databases have recently been placed on line. The data were
collected as part of a study entitled: 'INTERNET: Investigating New
Technology's Evolving Role, Nature and Effects for Transport', an EPSRC/DfT
funded project within the FIT programme. The research was undertaken by
Susan Kenyon and Glenn Lyons at the Centre for Transport & Society,
University of the West of England.
The databases comprise data from three waves of accessibility diaries, which
combine activity, communications, time use and travel data, conducted in
March 2004, October 2004 and March 2005, plus two national surveys of
Internet and travel behaviour, conducted in March 2003 and February 2006.
The databases are free to access and include demographic data. Full details
of the methodologies used, with links to published papers, are also
available. The project website is at:
http://www.transport.uwe.ac.uk/research/projects/internet.asp.
We hope that you find the databases useful in your research. If you have
any questions about the databases, please contact me at

Yours,
Susan
