All,
I have looked up the system we have with a Marvel SATA chip: it is a
Supermicro H8DAR-T with an Adaptec AIC-8130 / Marvell 88SX6041.
SL4.4 and 4.5 will see it and use the sata_mv driver. My last test of
SL3.N didn't work out of the box for SL3.0.8 but if you're feeling
adventurous, I think you can build an install disk module for the boot
kernels and have it work, tough you need to make sure the running kernel
also has the sata_mv module.
The latest 2.4.21-50 variant for SL3 doesn't appear to have it as
supplied, thus anything listed as needing the sata_mv module won't run
any SL3.0.N out of the box. Unless anyone knows better...
