PhD Position in Brain Imaging at University of Giessen
A position funded by the German Research Foundation (Deutsche
Forschungsgemeinschaft, DFG) is available beginning August 1, 2007 (or
September, 2007) at the Bender Institute for Neuroimaging at the
University of Giessen, Department of Psychology and Sport Science. The
phD candidate will work on projects with functional magnetic resonance
imaging (fMRI). The topic of research is related to social cognition
and action observation. More specifically, the influence of motor
expertise, different learning protocols, and instructions will be
studied during observation and imagery. The ideal candidate would have
experience with fMRI and holds a scientific degree in psychology,
sports science, biology, or related disciplines. Expertise in Matlab,
Presentation as well as English language skills are welcome. The
position will run for two years with possible extension. Salary is
according to German Federal pay scale (50% BAT IIa).
