just a hunch .... did you open the left image in spm2 and the right in spm5?
Then you should know that spm5 does not place the crosshair at the
origin by default (as spm2 used to do), but at the center of the volume
(as can be seen in your right image). When you look at the value stored
in the nii header (possibly corrected by the affine transormation, see
http://nifti.nimh.nih.gov/pub/dist/src/niftilib/nifti1.h), you will
probably see that the origins closely match between both SPM versions.
This different behavior of the crosshair initially confuses many people
who switch to spm5...
but again, i am not sure whether that is what I see in your attachment,
although it seems to me that that is the case.
