Hi! The OU, and each department has available equpment such as video cameras to take if you are a phd student here, you could ask what is available in your department or faculty. I was able to take a camera to argentina, and used money given for fieldwork for fieldwork materials to buy a cheap microphone and tripod...
hope that helps

Subject: Making equipment availability of equipments
Dear Dr Chris and everyone,
Indeed it was great to meeting you and everyone at the conference. I really enjoyed the PV conference and such a fantastic network of people. I am now more confident in using PV as my research tool for my research. However, on the way back Dr Duncan Fuller and I discussed regarding possibility of lending or making available for hiring PV equipments (video cameras and laptops) such equipments for an academic researchers (PHD students) would be very beneficial rather than have to buy all the equipment.
Furthermore, I would really appreciate if anyone recommends me journals and books for me to read regarding Participatory Video and Participatory Action Research (May be reading list)
Many thanks
Tshering
