Manzini's Prometheus paper in Design Issues is a translation
of an extract from his earlier:
Artefatti. Verso una nuova ecologia dell'ambiente artificiale
(Artefacts, Towards a new ecology of the artificial environment),
Edizioni Domus Academy, 1990
In addition to Klaus's contemporaneous use, there is also
Mika Pantzar's more playful evolutionary approach:
"Do commodities reproduce themselves through human beings, toward an
ecology of goods"
World Futures, Journal of General Evolution, Vol 38, 1993
Related is Baudrillard's 1966 doctoral dissertation later
published as _The System of Objects_
