Dear Rosalind, Dear Philippa, Dear All,
I am interested in the FLASH animation in CUREE
mentoring & coaching exposes rather than video clips.
I would like to know how you find the use of multi
media in representing mentoring and coaching in this
way.
Does it enhance focusing on the interactions between
mentor/mentee? Does it detract? How do we decide what
is effective use of animation? Are there occasions
when it is better not to have (real life) video clips?
Is FLASH animation likely to date faster/slower than
video clips? Does it helpfully sidetrack ethical
issues which using video clips might involve? How far
do you think cartoon type animation is better than
video clips?
Best regards,
Sarah
PS No prize for guessing I'm writing a paper on the
use of multi media!
