A fully funded ESRC CASE doctoral studentship is available at the
Department of Geography & Sociology, University of Strathclyde, Glasgow,
in collaboration with Friends of the Earth England and Friends of the
Earth Europe.
*Multi-level Governance and the Dynamics of Environmental Advocacy*.
The research will:
1. Systematically conduct research in selected environmental policy
fields in relation to transparency, governance and accountability
systems at the Scottish, UK and European levels;
2. Examine the relations between environmental policy actors at three
discrete levels of governance;
3. Contribute to policy and academic debates on transparency,
accountability and participative governance with particular reference to
continuities and differences between accountability and transparency
regimes at the different governance levels of this study;
