DEVELOPING YOUR COACHING SKILLS
26 September 2007, London
A one-day practical introduction to coaching skills for managers, team leaders and supervisors who want to learn how to use coaching to develop, energise, motivate and gain commitment from their staff.
BENEFITS OF ATTENDING
This course will provide participants with the skills to support and develop their staff through coaching. BY THE END OF THE EVENT PARTICIPANTS WILL HAVE:
· explored the difference between a coaching style and other approaches to managing and developing staff
· identified and practised the skills of coaching
· familiarised themselves with the GROW model and how to apply it in a coaching session
· practised coaching for particular purposes
· reviewed the implications of moving to a coaching approach
Participants will also benefit from additional coaching support provided by the tutor one month after the event.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
Those with a responsibility for managing, supervising or appraising the work of others, and who want to explore the benefits of a coaching style for increasing motivation and improving performance.
