Hi Jonathan
Dialog have a huge range of databases, not only the ones we have via our NHS
Athens accounts. I haven't used it for a very long time, but they had one
called INCIDENCE AND PREVALENCE, which I used to use for searches on behalf
of a Home Office pathologist I worked with - it was excellent, as it gave
statistical interpretation of disease incidence.
Incidence and Prevalence was expensive to use, but the court cases were
funded, so that wasn't an issue. If you go onto Dialog and look for it, you
should be able to find out how much it is to use - remember that looking at
a full citation record on the screen counts, as far as the charges are
concerned. The requester can then decide if they want to pay or not! I
think you can use Dialog databases as a one-off/ad-hoc instance, but you may
have to use some kind of credit card number to gain access.
Hope this helps!
Diane

Subject: help with finding disease incidence
How do I find the incidence of encephalitis for a systematic review? On
Pubmed I have tried adding the sub-headings 'epidemiology' and 'statistics
and numerical data' but this retrieves many irrelevant records
