Hi Fernando,
There is no release of gLite for SL4 so far. That approach is currently being tested here at CERN but we have some constraints (like the lack of a proper gridftp).
There are also two new versions of "gCEs" (cream and glexec) that are being analysed. So, it's possible that this version of gLite 3.0 would never be ported and supported in SL4 and released as part of gLite 3.1 .
I know that sometimes its difficult to find big machines were to run SL4... I dont know if that is your case, but if yes you can always make use of Xen and virtual machines to run SL3.
PS: But the current gCE on production is also not a very reliable service...
Please let me know if there is something else where i can help.
Cheers,
Nuno Silva

Subject: [LCG-ROLLOUT] glite-CE with SL4.4, could anyone help me?
Dear all,
I want to start installing glite-CE node based on SL4.4, but I've no
ideas what repositories to use. I ran into this
(http://lxb2042.cern.ch/gLite/APT/R3.1-cert/glite-CE/sl4/i386/) but is
this right?
Has anyone done this? Could you please point in the right direction?
Something like a heads up on the beginning of my quest.
Many thanks in advance,
Fernando
