You might want to check with the R-GMA developers, in case they use the
domain (real or pseudo) to help uniquely identify the client's producers
and consumers.
Also, R-GMA used to depend on the MON box being able to resolve the
client's hostname.
It's been a couple of years since I've been involved with R-GMA very
closely though!
