The virtual machines live on a CD which has been packed away during
building work at the office. I can look it out tomorrow, if it's wanted
urgently.

There are four virtual machines which are images from Microsoft's
virtual machine software not VMware, one each of a Shib IdP and SP on
Linux, and two ADFS servers configured to act together. But since this
is a fairly specific requirement, I'm not sure it would meet the needs
of this installer, and I don't have a machine handy to turn the VMs into
VMware ones.

It looks from the discussion on shib-users as though there are some more
relevant VMs around.
