Another option for you is scientific linux 4 which is a derivative of
redhat enterprise linux . We currently run the one of the redhat pre-
compiled version on a cluster of 356 dual node Opterons. It's 32 bit
only though. A 64 bit version which could run on this would be nice.
I know I could easily compile it myself but then I'd loose the stuff
necessary to completely run TBSS (IIRC).
