Dear All
My name is Toshimi Ichinose. I am a mature student at
Leeds University studying towards an MA in Disability
Studies and am planning to conduct research into the
attitudes of non-disabled people who have had a disabled
classmate. Through my experience of having a disabled
child I have learnt a lot about disability and this has
enabled me to see the world in a different way.
Consequently, I am interested how studying alongside
disabled students in mainstream schools changes
non-disabled people
’s attitudes towards disability. I would like to know
about school life, friendship, teachers
…
I have prepared a questionnaire for people who meet the
following criteria:
1. Non-disabled who had primary and secondary school
education in England
2. Had a disabled classmate
3. Between 20 and 35 years old
If you are willing and able to help with my research,
please send an e-mail to the address below so I can
forward my questionnaire to you.
Thank you very much for your help.
Best Regards
Toshimi Ichinose
