Dear all,
I am not aware of anyone who uses laser safe drapes.
Can we hear from those who do use such items?
Regards

I wasn't aware of the ISO standards. We use wet drapes (well-wrung out)
over plastic sheets (all non-sterile) for CO2 laser work and nothing at
all for other lasers.

Hi,
Just wondering if anyone out there has considered
the type of drapes that are used in laser surgery?
Is anyone using special laser safe drapes or are most just
using standard cloth/disposable drapes?
Seems there are two ISO standards published on
laser safe drapes:
11810-1:2005
Lasers and laser-related equipment -- Test method and classification
for the laser resistance of surgical drapes and/or patient protective
covers --
Part 1: Primary ignition and penetration
11810-2:2007
Test method and classification for the laser resistance of surgical
drapes and/or patient protective covers
Part 2: Secondary ignition.
Regards,
Gerard Boyle
