Dear Colleague

As part of their regional workshop programme, Netskills will be running the following workshops at the South Camden City Learning Centre and Metro New Media, Shoreditch:

At South Camden CLC

1. Information Skills: Is Google Enough? 4th September
-----------------------------------------------------
This workshop will give you a greater understanding of how Google works and equip you to search it, and other sites, more effectively. The workshop also provides you with the opportunity to explore what else is out there, learn about new developments in searching and think about how to evaluate web sites for quality.

2. Blogs, Wikis and Social Networking, 5th September
-----------------------------------------------------
As the world wide web moves into another exciting phase, sometimes called Web 2.0, it has never been easier to publish and access information online. Blogs and wikis offer simple, DIY, interactive publishing, while new social software tools enable collaboration online, whether sharing cutting edge research, CVs or holiday snaps. But is this just the latest craze or does it have the potential to revolutionise online information?

At Metro New Media, Shoreditch

3. Dreamweaver: The Essentials, 11th – 12th September
-----------------------------------------------------
This practical 2-day workshop delivers an essential guide to the core Dreamweaver features for the creation, formatting, management and updating of web page content. It is suitable for anyone for those would like to create their own web pages and web sites using Dreamweaver.

4. Fundamentals of Flash 8, 13th September
-----------------------------------------------------
Increasingly, web designers now wish to incorporate more than text and static images in their sites. Macromedia Flash provides a means of creating animated content that is optimised for web delivery. This can include elements such as animated graphics and text, as well as more sophisticated applications, such as tutorials and simulations.

Further details these workshops, including prices and booking forms, and of all future Netskills events are available from:

These workshops can also support our BTEC-accredited qualifications:
