Dear all,
We would like to thank all those who took part in the online survey during June, which we ran as part of our Collection of the Month feature. We had some very positive responses to the digital artworks that were specially created by Aileen Collis from archives held at contributing institutions (see http://www.archiveshub.ac.uk/jun07.shtml).
Congratulations to the winners of the digital artwork cards and book tokens!
We would like to welcome all those who asked to join our mailing list. This is our Hub users' list, where we post information about latest updates, news and events. But please be reassured, we do not overuse the list, so you will not be inundated with emails!
We would like to take this opportunity to highlight some of the sections of the Archives Hub that you may find useful:
Collection of the Month is a feature showcasing the breadth of collections that are described on the Hub: http://www.archiveshub.ac.uk/cotm.shtml
We have a guided tour of an archival description, for those not familiar with the structure and terms used: http://www.archiveshub.ac.uk/tour/index.html
We have a 'for archivists' section that brings you information on data standards, creating descriptions for the Hub, training and other useful information: http://www.archiveshub.ac.uk/arch/contents.shtml
We have an Archives Hub blog with an RSS feed that you may like to sign up to: http://www.archiveshub.ac.uk/blog/
We provide promotional materials, guides and powerpoint presentations: http://www.archiveshub.ac.uk/pubs.shtml
If you would like to keep up with the latest additions to the Hub we have a news feed for this: http://www.archiveshub.ac.uk/news/index.html
We welcome your comments and feedback. We are always very intersted to hear how people have used the Hub and would love to hear from anyone who has used the Hub to help with their research and would be willing for us to write about it.
With all best wishes,
From the Hub Team
