Statistical Research Assistant/Fellow to join Industrial Psychology
Research Centre to work on SRDG Patient Safety Research Network
Projects. You will join a new team of patient safety researchers based
in the School of Psychology and will be expected to provide statistical
advice and support to lecturing (3), and research staff (3) and research
students (3) working on the project areas described below, along with
clinical colleagues. The studies planned will involve methods such as
organisational surveys (questionnaire design, multilevel modelling, path
analyses), case record reviews, meta-analysis, training evaluation and
experimental research. It is envisaged that you will advise on the
design of projects, data management and will undertake analyses where
appropriate. Projects will be carried out in collaboration with
researchers across the University (e.g. Health Services Research Unit)
and from the Universities of St Andrews and Dundee.
You should have a qualification in statistics (or closely related
subject), such as an MSc or PhD and wish to pursue a career in research.
You will be encouraged to develop applied statistical research projects
to complement existing research activities of the Network. You should
have the ability to work independently within in a multi-disciplinary
group. The University's Health Services Research Unit has an established
statistical team and will provide some support for this new position.
