Hello
I discovered today the interesting random permutation calculator under 'third generator' at
http://www.randomization.com/
I would be most grateful if any persons familiar with the underlying theory (see references under 'Help') could advise me on a specific issue. In particular, if a permutation of numbers 1 to 150 is generated using this calculator but only the first 50, say, of the numbers in that permutation are used, is this initial segment (containing the first 50 numbers from the permutation) representative of a random sample of 50 numbers from the original 150?
I would be most grateful if you could provide me with a prompt response, as I have aleady endeavoured to contact the author of the calculator only to find that the cited e-mail address is non-functional.
Many thanks for your valued input.
Best wishes
Margaret
