The Centre for Transport Studies at Imperial College London is pleased to
announce that it will present a short course on Discrete Choice Modelling,
in London on 28th to 30th November 2007.
The course will cover both theory and practice in the field of discrete
choice modelling, and will discuss applications of this methodology across
a range of disciplines, including but not limited to transport studies.
This is a highly interactive course, mixing formal lectures and
computer-based practical sessions in which delegates learn how to apply
theoretical concepts to real choice modelling problems.
After completion of this three day course, delegates will have a solid
grounding in the theory and application of discrete choice modelling. They
will know the basics of data collection, model specification and
estimation and will be in a position to estimate models themselves and to
interpret the output from these models.
It is anticipated that the audience for this course will include a mix of
delegates from academia and industry and from across different subject
areas. The course is relevant to anyone with an interest in statistical
and econometric aspects of modelling human choice behaviour, including
those with specific responsibilities for the development or interpretation
of modelling results.
Places on this course are limited, and early booking is advised.
Detailed course information (including booking instructions) is available
at www.imperial.ac.uk/cpd/choice_modelling .
