QUALITATIVE RESEARCHER
You will be an experienced Qualitative Researcher who will provide
leadership to a growing research team that looks at society,
institutions and governance. You will also manage projects on rural
development and resource management within the Socio-Economics Research
Group.
You will have a reputation for theoretical excellence, methodological
innovation and an interest in applying these to contemporary societal
issues, both in Scotland and internationally. You will have a strong
publications record, demonstrated project management experience, and
proven ability to win research funding.
Starting salary within the range £36,500 - £41,800 per annum with
excellent employee benefits. Pay award pending.

SOCIAL SCIENTIST
You will strengthen the capacity of the Research Group to address rural
socio-economic problems. This post-holder will be expected to make a
major contribution to research on sustainability which comprises one of
three cross-cutting themes in the Institute’s Scottish
Executive-funded research programme.
You will have a PhD in a social sciences discipline and be located in
one of the three subgroups within SERG: rural and regional economics;
ecological and environmental economics; and society institutions and
governance.
Starting salary within the range £24,200 - £27,200 with excellent
employee benefits. Pay award pending.
