I wanted to point out that my last email mistakenly gave the
impression that Peter Tatchell is talking on ‘Global Struggle for
Queer Rights’ on Tuesday 4th Sept at 1830-2000 as part of the Sex/
life/politics conference sponsored by the Sexuality, Space and Queer
Working Group of the RGS-IBG. This is in fact a free, public lecture
which anyone is welcome to attend, being sponsored by Loughborough
University's Equal Opportunities Committee, and not the SSQWG.
However, the lecture has been arranged so that those attending the
Sex/Life/Politics conference are free to attend should they so wish
(and given Tatchell is a controversial figure, I am sure that some
will wish to challenge his recent interventions in the field of GLBT
rights)
Sorry for any confusion caused: I look forward to seeing interested
parties at either, or perhaps both, of these events. Please email me
if you need further details or directions
