Yes it's /usr/lib64 not gslcblas that causing the search to fail.
Here's an extract from config.log confirming that. Well done young man.
configure:21563: gcc -o conftest -g -O2 -L/usr/lib64 conftest.c -lgslcblas >&5
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lgslcblas
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
However, the question remains is why it is looking in the wrong place
for gslcblas? The laptop doesn't have /usr/lib64 or any lib64, but
that's the same for my desktop.
