one for your return. If you look at the files attached to Bringfried
Stecklum's "GAIA astrometry problem" message, you can see why GAIA is
confused, namely the presence of the PROJP1&3 values means that what was
written as a FITS-WCS solution is re-read as a FITS-PC one.
The original solution contains PV terms, which is why I guess the PROJP's
are ignored (during my attempt to clean the headers by distructively
reading the headers until no WCS is returned). Any advice on how to handle
this case? Didn't we discuss an AST method to clean out all traces of WCS
from a header sometime?
