I was going to refer you to Rees which has a good illustration of the
machinery used so have done some more looking, charles Wilsons history of
Unilever in Vol one in dealing with BOCM at pages 278 to 280 points out
that the British milling Industry pre 1914 crushed seed primarily for
cattlecake and you were either a cake manufacturer or a seed -crusher. The
bibliography has only one reference Imperial Institute 1915 Oilseeds and
feeding cake a monograph.
