A study by the Conservative party claims that Ritalin, the drug used to
treat ADHD is being over-prescribed to children
http://www.gm.tv/index.cfm?articleid=26513
Did anyone see this story on GMTV this morning and that David Cameron,
Leader Of the Conservatiiove party stated that also that Parents with ADHD
children and other disabled children should be given the choice, 'yes the
choice' to choose 'special-schools' and/or 'mainstream-schools' and that
this is the best option, especially for NeuroDiverse children with emotional
and behavioural differences.
So, the Conservatives are stating that 'inclusion' of 'NeuroDiverse'
children has to be in 'segregated' schools and seem to be turing away from
New-Labour's policies on 'Inclusion'.
What ever 'New-Labour's' rhetoric of 'Inclusion' really is pragmattically???
As you all know their is a lot of spin out-there on 'Inclusion' and it's a
far distance reality for many disabled people in the UK and other countries
too..... There is still this 'Myth-Of-Inclusion', and like many of you it's
an 'ocean-apart' from many of us who experience oppression and 'Disablist'
comments, attitudes and behaviour and 'Ignorance' on a daily basis,
especially by the 'public-bodies' who state they practice
'Equality-of-Opportunities' for all disabled people.....
In my experiences they seem to be living in a 'false-reality'..... somewhere
in 'Alison-in-Wonderland'!!!
