Jacqueline
Thanks for this.
Degree Shows and London things went well thanks. Likewise with you I
trust.
As for Apple Talks, we'd certainly be interested here in Plymouth.
We are moving from the Exeter site this summer, to brand new facilities,
including large lecture and performance theatres.
We could certainly hold a good crowd, and could include Plymouth College
of Art and Design, as well as our Partner Colleges in the region - at
Truro, Taunton, Bristol and Exeter for example.
I would have thought a time in either mid October or mid November would
suit. We tend to do our Field Trip in early November. We have
traditionally held evening events on Mondays, so we could look at this
as a possibility, whatever suits Apple really. (Can you give me a brief
run-down on what might be possible subject-wise - I wasn't able to make
this year's conference, Jem came instead.)
We should be able to book a space in an evening with little difficulty
(he said hopefully!) Probably best if we contact you again in late
August, after we've moved offices and set up in our new home.
It would be good to host APHE events in our new facilities. Keep us on
the radar for conferences etc. I know next year is sorted.
Regards
Simon

Subject: Apple Talks
Dear members
As you may recall at the last conference in Hull we agreed to arrange
regional talks delivered by Richard West from Apple UK on a range of
themes. I am now asking you to contact me if you feel your
institution could host one (or several )APHE/APPLE talks. You would
need to have a large lecture theatre and identify other colleges/
institutions that you could 'share' this event with. It may be that
the timetabling would be an evening event to allow other colleges the
opportunity to attend and we are looking for autumn term dates.
Let me know if you can support this. Times dates you could run the
talks and the college you would share with.
Hope all your degree shows went well and that I have caught you
before the holiday break
regards
jacqueline
