Project title: Explaining variation in quality and safety in healthcare
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with at least an MSc or
equivalent in epidemiology, statistics, health services research or a
related subject, looking to develop their career as a health services
researcher. You will work on the analysis of health service and other
data and the development of measures of quality in healthcare provision.
You will also be expected to contribute to publications, meetings and
seminars.
You will work in a small team supervised by Dr Paul Aylin, Clinical Senior
Lecturer in Epidemiology and Public Health. The unit is funded by Dr
Foster Intelligence, a leading independent organisation and one of
Britain's fastest-growing private companies, which collects and analyses
information on the availability and quality of health services in the UK.
The research team is currently based in premises in Clerkenwell, London.
You will have at least an MSc or equivalent, appropriate research
experience, and excellent computing and statistical skills. Experience in
using SAS is preferable.
The appointment is full-time until 31 May 2010, starting as soon as
possible. Appointment to the particular grade will depend upon
