Dear all,
as many of you will remember from our November meeting, Michi is currently conducting a survey to establish the number and sex of postgraduates in German Studies in the UK and Ireland. It's part of a bigger project concerning the monitoring of current gender-specific developments and careers of women in the field, and she will present the findings at this year's conference.
At the moment, Michi is still missing data from a number of universities, and we would really appreciate your help to complete the survey. If you know who to contact for such information, or if you yourself have access to relevant numbers (of postgrads in German, according to type of course and gender), for any of the following universities, please do get in touch. The survey form is attached, otherwise you can email Michi with numbers or with the names of the relevant officers in the university.
Very many thanks for your help!
The universities for which we do not have information are:
Surrey
Keele
Queen Mary
King's
Imperial
Manchester Metropolitan
UCL
Royal Holloway
Portsmouth
Preston
Reading
York
Glasgow
Lancaster
Aberdeen
Dublin University College
Please send names and/or completed surveys to:
Michaela Gigerl, [log in to unmask]
Michi and I are both happy to answer any questions about the survey.
best,
Lyn
