Hello,
We have a job opportunity for a Cognitive Neuroscience Research Manager,
available immediately. Could we post this to the mailing list? Thanks!
Cognitive Neuroscience Research Manager
An exciting new opportunity is available as a full-time Research Manager
for an expanding innovative international network of research
scientists. The position has two key elements: one involves scientific
discovery research and the other is the management of applied research
focused on industry priorities.
In the discovery element, the manager will oversee a collaborative
international consortium of scientists known as BRAINnet (Brain Resource
And Integrative Neuroscience network (www.brainnet.org.au)) Members of
BRAINnet have access to the first standardized database of the human
brain (Brain Resource International Database (BRID)) which spans
genomics, cognition, psychological measures, psychophysiology (EEG, ERP,
autonomic) and neuroimaging (MRI, fMRI). The Research Manager will
manage the day-to-day running of BRAINNet, which functions via a
web-based system, including managing specific projects using BRID data,
and scientific papers written for publication from these projects. The
position not only offers the opportunity to directly contribute to the
innovative research, but the right applicant will also have the
opportunity to drive their own research projects within the network. In
the applied element, the successful applicant will manage the research
priorities of the scientific division of the Brain Resource Company
(BRC).
Key Requirements: The successful applicant will have Post-Doctoral or
equivalent experience and a proven track-record (including publication)
in one or more of the following fields: cognitive neuroscience,
neuroimaging, neuropsychology, psychophysiology and related areas of
psychology and brain science. The successful applicant will also be able
demonstrate strong skills in research methods and statistical analysis,
as well as provide evidence of project management experience in a
research context.
Applications are sought by June 29, 2007. Please provide a 1-2 page
cover letter which addresses the specific aspects of your experience in
relation to these areas, as well as your full C.V. to Erin Falconer at
