Dear all,
Maybe there could be an international dimension to women & science. The Rockefeller University currently has a women in science initiative http://www.rockefeller.edu/giving/womenandscience.php and also supports a gender & diversity programme including for women scientists in developing countries coordinated by CGIAR in Kenya

Dom -- and everyone else who might be interested in mounting an exhibition
Women in Science and Engineering is a relatively hot research topic
for which there hasn't been a reasonable-sized exhibition recently
(ever?). It would be a lot of fun to get one together. There are a
number of possible interesting mixes between showing historical women
and portraying the situation today. It could form a useful antidote
to the elderly/dead white male image of scientists (and hopefully the
mad scientist one as well).
Oxford International Women's Festival offers an obvious tie-in,
happening in March. Some funding might be available from the UK's
Resource Centre for Women in SET. My brain is fizzing with
possibilities -- and there are plenty of people who could add more.
Regards
Pam
