Multidimensional IR Spectroscopy - Chemistry and Biophysics in Real Time
A postdoc position is available in the group of Jens Bredenbeck at the
Institute of Biophysics of the University of Frankfurt. Our group
investigates molecular dynamics and interactions at the intersection of
chemistry, physics and biology by cutting edge ultrafast nonlinear
spectroscopy, mainly multidimensional IR spectroscopy. Our research is
highly interdisciplinary, involving the development of novel spectroscopic
tools as well as their application to photoswitchable designed biomolecules,
protein-ligand interaction, biomolecular folding, molecular interactions in
the liquid phase and chemical reaction dynamics.
The ideal candidate should therefore have a strong background and interest
in both ultrafast spectroscopic techniques as well as in biophysics or
physical chemistry.
Please send your application to Dr. Jens Bredenbeck
([log in to unmask]), including CV, publication list,
statement of purpose as well as names and complete addresses of three
referees. For further information please feel free to contact me and to have
a look at http://www.biophys.uni-frankfurt.de/~bredenbeck.
