For beam winders don't forget the Hewlett of Soudley example now in
the Dean Heritage Museum at Soudley but previously in the grounds of
the National Museum of Wales. It was used for shaft sinking by Henry
Crawshay & Co. and later as a winder on the dirt tip at Lightmoor
Colliery.
Photographs of the engine, together with a history of Lightmoor
Colliery appear in Archive Issue 50.
