At Nenthead on Alston Moor is a Barracks building surviving as part of
the Nenthead smelt mill site. This originally appeared to have timber
walls in the upstairs room.
In the North Pennines are many small mine "shops" which were apparently
one room lodgings or barracks. Some of these were used by miners until
at least 1922 approx.

Yes, please - I need to know just what there is surviving, if possible.
I have looked up each of these on the internet and seen what pictures
there
are.
So-far the one most similar to the one here in Cornwall is the restored
one
at Killhope lead mine in Weredale - does anyone know whether there are
any
others surviving in that area ?
Thankyou
