Regarding counting strategies and auscultation
Yes there is room for error with multi count strategies although this
needs to be weighed against the inaccuracies that have been found when
the heart rate is higher than normal and counted for one full minute.
Some studies have demonstrated that multi count strategies are better
for detection of periodic changes in the heart rate and can be plotted
on an auscultation chart.
