Hello,
Our hospital library is based in the Wrexham Medical Institute building away from the main hospital (about 80 metres / 87 yards away). We are currently looking at the security issues surrounding accessing the library after office hours i.e. between 5pm - midnight each day.
At present there is no security for users between the hospital main entrance and the front door of the Institute building. (There is no problem once the users are inside the building itself).
I would be interested to know about similar situations to ours, and to find out how you have overcome such problems. For example, what type of panic alarms are given to your users when going to the library in the evening and who responds to the alarm if it is raised?
Thanks for your help in this matter.
Regards,
Richard
